Sri Lanka Embassy participates at the 6th Korea International Tourism Show (KITS 2021) from 9th to12th September, 2021 

The Embassy of Sri Lanka, in collaboration with the Department of Commerce of Sri Lanka organized a pavilion at the Korea International Tourism Show (KITS 2021), which was held from 9th to 12th September, 2021 at the Korea International Exhibition & Convention Center (KINTEX).

The event,organized by the Korea Exhibition Industry Center, featured more than 300 booths from 181 organizations, including 97 local governments in Korea and 14 from overseas, in addition to various travel-related content companies.

The theme of the KITS 2021 was “The National Tourism Industry’s Preemptive Response after the COVID Pandemic,” which aimed to encourage active networking and information-sharing within the tourism industry after a stagnant period of two years due to the COVID pandemic.

The Sri Lanka pavilion portrayed the island’s tourism themes from its heritage to its culture, which earned high praises from visitors. The Sri Lanka pavilion also displayed a variety of unique products from Sri Lanka and disseminated “So Sri Lanka” Tourism brochures to the visitors during all four days.
