participates in 6th Seoul International Buddhism Expo
The Sri Lanka
Embassy in association with the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau participated
in the 06th Seoul International Buddhism Expo organised by the Jogye Order of Korean
Buddhism, the main Buddhist order in Korea, at the SETEC in Seoul from 29 March
to 01 April 2018. The Mahabodhi
Temple in Korea was also associated with the Embassy. Sri Lanka participated in this annual Expo
in Seoul for the third consecutive year to promote Sri Lankan
Buddhism and culture among the Korean people. Dudley Batiks of Sri Lanka
exhibited traditional Sri Lankan batik artwork at the Expo. The Sri Lanka stall
which displayed cultural items and varieties of Ceylon teas, cinnamon, etc.,
attracted many Korean and international visitors and offered them with an
opportunity for tea tasting.
