The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Seoul conducts Mobile Consular and Employment Welfare Service in Gwangju
The Embassy of Sri Lanka in the Republic of Korea conducted a mobile consular and employment welfare service on 21 April 2024 in Gwangju, in parallel to the New Year Festival organized by the Sri Lankan community in Gwangju.
The Embassy organized this mobile service as a part of its community reach out programme. Approximately 50 Sri Lankans obtained consular services, including the renewal of passports, document attestation, attestation of driving license, signing of affidavits, power of attorney among several other services.
The Employment and Labour Welfare Section of the Embassy provided labour welfare services to the Sri Lankan expatriate community who attended the event.
H.E Savitri Panabokke, Ambassador also attended the event and interacted with members of the Sri Lankan community and discussed matters related to many areas such as employment, business and other issues faced by them.
Given the requests of the Sri Lanka community in the Republic of Korea, several other mobile services are planned to be conducted in different areas of the country in April and May 2024.
