Embassy of Sri Lanka in the Republic of Korea commences its duties for the year 2019

On 02 January 2019, the Embassy of Sri Lanka in the Republic of Korea commenced its duties officially in line with the circular no. 28/2018 dated 26 December 2018 of the Secretary Public Administration and Disaster Management.

The event began by hoisting national flag by the Charge’ d’ Affaires of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in the Republic of Korea Jagath Abeywarna,  followed by singing of the national anthem.

The oath of the public service was read by the staff of the Embassy in Sinhala and English languages. The Charge’d’ Affaires of the Embassy addressed the gathering and highlighted the necessity of improving efficiency and effectiveness of the public service as indicated in the oath of the public service.

The event concluded by serving Sri Lankan cuisine including kiribath to the gathering.
