South Korea recognizes achievements of former Sri Lankan migrant worker
SampathPriyadarshana, CEO of BM Engineering Works received an Excellence Award from Hon. Lee Jung-sik, Minister of Employment and Labour of the Republic of Korea on 22nd November at a ceremony held in Seoul. The event recognized the success stories of former migrant workers from the 16 countries under the Employment Permit System, following their return to their home countries.
Mr. Priyadarshana, having gained knowledge and experience having worked for almost 10 years in South Korea, is currently the CEO of a company in Sri Lanka that provides machinery and services to both local and international companies. His success story serves as inspiration to the large community of Sri Lankan migrant workers in South Korea and elsewhere.
The Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Republic of Korea SavitriPanabokke and officials of the Employment and Labour Section of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in the Republic of Korea were present at the event.
