Representing the Embassy of Sri Lanka at the 2022 Gyeonggi-do Foreign Residents’ Policy Forum on 20th December 2022, Third Secretary Lakshika Weeraratna welcomed the contribution made by the Forum towards promoting the welfare of foreign resident workers in the Republic of Korea. 

 Delivering a congratulatory message, she commended the encouragement the Forum provided towards fostering a good working environment and a migrant-friendly corporate culture at workplaces in the region.  

 A significant number of foreign migrant workers, including Sri Lankans, are employed in the Gyeonggi-do region of the Republic of Korea.
