Most Reverend Park Seung-UK, Chief Monk of Cheon Man sa Temple of Ulsan, recently, honored Ambassador of Sri Lanka, Dr. A. Saj U. Mendis, for deepening and widening the mutual understanding between and amongst the Sri Lankan nationals and Korean nationals, in particular, and for propagating the message of Peace amongst the devotees and visitors of the high-profile Cheon Man sa Temple. The Chief Monk Most Venerable Park Seung-UK bestowed the aforementioned honor on Dr. Mendis at the Annual Heavenly Music Ensemble 4th Concert held in Ulsan in the presence of over an audience 1,500 including the Diplomatic Corps, corporate leaders and titans, senior most Government bureaucrats, professionals and members of university faculty in the Metropolitan City of Ulsan and other invitees. During the address after receiving the honor, Dr. Mendis spoke about “Vision for World Peace” to a select audience including Diplomatic Corps and media, amongst others. Most of the invitees including the Most Reverend Park Seung-UK stated that since a large number of mega corporates and chaebols are located in the City of Ulsan, which is one of the largest industrial cities in the country, many companies such as Hyundai, LG, SK and Samsung would be quite keen and interested to be commercially and economically engaged with Sri Lanka. This was stated by most of the corporate leaders and invitees after Dr. Mendis explained the investment and economic endowments and facilities of the country as the country is on an upward economic trajectory.
