The Embassy of Sri Lanka to the Republic of Korea promoted investment opportunities in the pharmacutical sector in Sri Lanka at the “Bio Pharmaceuticals Global Conference (BIG C Conference)” held in the city of Incheon, RoK on 22nd November 2021. The BIG C Conference was organized by the Korea Pharmaceutical Traders Association (KPTA) in parallel to the InBioPharm Exhibition and the Global Bio-Pharmaceuticals Plaza consulting session. BIG C conference has been held annually in the RoK since the year 2016 with the participants related to the medical and pharmaceutical industry in the RoK. On invitation of the  Embassy,  Dr. Saj U. Mendis, Director General of Economic Affairs of the Foreign Ministry  and Dr. Prasanna Gunasena, Chairman of the State Pharmaceutical Corporation (SPC) of Sri Lanka  delivered presentations at the BIG C conference on the economic opportunities,  landscape and regulation of the pharmaceutical market in Sri Lanka. On behalf of the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka, Ms. Rekha Mallikarachchi, Minister Counsellor (Commercial) of the Sri Lanka Embassy delivered a presentation at the BIG C conference highlighting the foreign direct investment opportunities available in the pharmaceutical sector of Sri Lanka.
