SRI LANKA PARTICIPATES AT THE IMPORT GOODS FAIR  (IGF) 2022 IN THE REPUBLIC OF KOREA

 The Embassy of Sri Lanka in the Republic of Korea, in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) organized a Sri Lanka product display at the Import Goods Fair (IGF) 2022 exhibition, held from 23-25 June 2022 at Coex Exhibition Hall in Seoul, Republic of Korea. IGF is an annual exhibition organized by the Korea Importers Association (KOIMA) since year 2003 with the support of the Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy of Korea, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Korea International Trade Association (KITA) and foreign embassies in Korea. The IGF offers a platform for the foreign manufacturers and suppliers to introduce and advertise their quality products to Korean importers and consumers.

 The exhibition covers a wide variety of product sectors such as food & beverages, handicrafts, cosmetics, Sports goods, electronic & electrical items, household items including kitchen appliances and home decoration. This year, a number of Sri Lankan companies from the Food and Beverages sector, namely, Virco International Pvt Ltd, Edinborough Products Pvt Ltd, Tradlanka Agricultural Enterprises Pvt Ltd, International Commodity Exports Pvt Ltd, Emprire Teas Pvt Ltd, Lanka Canneries Pvt Ltd and Akbar Brothers Pvt Ltd exhibited samples of their products with a view to explore B2B meetings with the prospective buyers at the Exhibition. IGF provided an opportunity for the Sri Lankan entrepreneurs to explore new business leads and strengthen the existing business networks during the three-day event.
