Ceylon Tea is a highlight at the prestigious “21st Seoul International Café Show 2022” exhibition which is being held from 23rd - 26th November 2022 at COEX exhibition hall in the Republic of Korea (RoK).  The Sri Lanka Tea Board, together with the Embassy of Sri Lanka in the Republic of Korea, organized the Sri Lanka pavilion at this event. The Sri Lanka pavilion at the Café Show consists of booths by the Sri Lanka Tea Board and four Sri Lankan tea exporting Companies, namely, Regency Teas Pvt Ltd, Empire Teas Pvt Ltd, HVA Foods PLC and UHE Exports Pvt Ltd. The “Ceylon Tea” branded products are a popular attraction with visitors to the Sri Lanka pavilion.

 The Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Republic of Korea, Savitri Panabokke ceremoniously opened the Sri Lanka pavilion at the Café Show on November 22nd morning. Sri Lankan traditional sweetmeats and Ceylon Tea were served to the many visitors and well-wishers during the opening of the pavilion. Arirang TV, which is the most popular English TV channel in the RoK, exclusively showcased and promoted the Sri Lanka pavilion and “Ceylon Tea” at the event.   They interviewed the Ambassador who highlighted Sri Lanka’s tea culture and the famous “Ceylon Tea” brand.  They also interviewed the four tea companies from Sri Lanka at the pavilion. The "Ceylon Tea demonstration" is also popular with visitors to the Sri Lanka pavilion at the Cafe Show, where visitors receive an opportunity to get more information on the Sri Lankan tea industry as well as to taste a cup of delicious Ceylon Tea

 The 21st Seoul International Café Show 2022 also provided opportunities for the Sri Lankan Tea exporters to introduce their tea products to the Korean market and to conduct a number of B2B meetings with potential trading partners. 

 The Café Show is a very popular international trade show for coffee & tea products in the RoK and attracts over 100,000 visitors from 30 countries. More than 3,500 coffee and tea brands from 672 companies are being promoted at the Café Show.
