The annual Katina Maha Ceremony of the Sri Lankaramaya in Daegu on 17th October 2022.

 H.E Savitri. I Panabokke,  Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Republic of Korea and the officials of the Embassy participated in the annual Katina Maha Ceremony of the Sri Lankaramaya in Daegu on 17th October 2022. Speaking at the event, the Ambassador  thanked the Most Ven. Katuwana Wijithawansa thero, Chief Incumbent of the temple, for organizing this annual ceremony and affording Sri Lankans residing in the Republic of Korea an opportunity to engage in this meritorious act and continue to practice their religious activities while abroad.  

 

 She also assured the members of the Sri Lanka community gathered at the event, the utmost support of the embassy to provide them with the necessary services and assistance.  The Ambassador also had an opportunity to meet with several Korean business persons and discuss employment opportunities for Sri Lankans in the Republic of Korea.  She also met with some officials in the Daegu area and thanked them for their support to the Sri Lanka community in the region.
