Mayors of Colombo and Seoul Sign Friendship and Cooperation Agreement

The Mayor of Colombo, His Worship A.J.M. Muzammil and the Mayor of Seoul, His Worship Won-soon Park signed an Agreement on Friendship and Cooperation between the cities of Colombo and Seoul on Wednesday the 08 June in Seoul, Republic of Korea.  The two Mayors during a brief meeting prior to the signing ceremony agreed to share mutual experience in urban development, including Korea’s experience in solid waste management.

Seoul and Colombo cities have maintained longstanding collaboration through CITYNET. Seoul is the President of CITYNET and Colombo is an Executive Committee Member and a founder member of CITYNET since 1987. The City of Colombo will host the 2017 CITYNET Congress.
