On 10th January 2023, the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Seoul together with the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives (NFFC) of the Republic of Korea organized the 1st awareness programme for new workers from Sri Lanka who would start work in the fishery sector. Ms. Lakshika Weerarathna, Third Secretary (Employment and Welfare) of the Mission, speaking at the event, provided useful information for the new workers on adapting to working life in the Republic of Korea and apprised them of the assistance and support provided by the Embassy for Sri Lankan migrant workers in the Republic of Korea. 39 fishery workers participated in programme.
