Prime Minister concludes successful visit to  the Republic of Korea

Hon. Dinesh Gunawardena, Prime Minister of Sri Lanka undertook a visit to the Republic of Korea from 3 to 5 April 2024. During the visit, the Prime Minister met with Hon.Han Duck Soo, Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea, Hon. Kim Jin-Pyo, Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon.Lee Cheol Woo, Governor of the Gyeongsangbuk Province and Hon.Ban Ki Moon, President and Chair of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI).

In addition, he also met with the representatives of the Korea Foundation for International Health (KOFIH), KDI School of Public Policy and Management and members of the Sri Lankan community.

During the meetings, the Prime Minister discussed various areas of future cooperation between Sri Lanka and the Republic of Korea, in the fields of education, employment, healthcare, climate change and rural development. He also thanked the Government of the Republic of Korea for the assistance provided to Sri Lanka.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by Hon.Piyal Nishantha, State Minister of Fisheries, Hon, Anupa Pasquel, State Minister of Social Empowerment, Hon. Yadamini Gunawardena, M.P, Hon. Jagath Kumara, M.P, Hon. Rajika Wickramasinghe, M.P, Hon. Muditha de Zoysa, M.P, Mr. Anura Dissanayaka, Secretary to Hon. Prime Minister and Mr. Lalith Rohana, Media Secretary to the Prime Minister.
