Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Manisha Gunasekera participated in the EPS (Employment Permit System) Conference for Ambassadors of labour sending countries hosted by HRD Korea in Jeju from 20 to 21 April 2017.  Ambassador Gunasekera apprised participants on measures taken by the Sri Lankan Government to safeguard the welfare, streamline recruitment, reduce illegal stay, and introduce best practices including pre-departure training, of Sri Lanka workers in Korea.  The Conference was chaired by HRD President Prof. Young-bum Park. The welcome dinner was hosted by the Governor of Jeju Special Self-governing Province Won Hee-ryong, at which event Sri Lanka’s Ambassador delivered congratulatory remarks.
