Sri Lanka Embassy Conducts Mobile Consular Service in Changwon
The Embassy of Sri Lanka in the Republic of Korea conducted a Mobile Service in Changwon on Sunday, 22 February 2026, at the Changwon Cultural Centre, as part of its continued outreach to the Sri Lankan community.
The event coincided with the official visit of the Hon. Arun Hemachandra, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment of Sri Lanka to the Republic of Korea.
The programme enabled approximately 160 Sri Lankan nationals in the region to access essential consular services closer to their place of residence, including passport and driving licence renewals, document attestations, and the authentication of affidavits and powers of attorney. The Embassy’s Labour and Welfare Section also engaged with migrant workers, providing guidance on SLBFE registration, retirement and gratuity benefits, and job transfer procedures. The initiative reflects the Embassy’s commitment to ensuring accessible, responsive and people-centred consular services for Sri Lankans across the Republic of Korea.
