Korea Importers Association explores import opportunities on visit to Sri Lanka

 

A 15-member delegation from the Korea Importers Association (KOIMA) led by Chairman Shin MyoungJin, visited Sri Lanka from 5 to 7 September 2017.  The programme in Sri Lanka was organised by the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (SLEDB) and included industrial visits and a Business Forum followed B2B meetings related to sectors of interest.  The delegation also met with the Minister of Development Strategies and International Trade Malik Samarawickrema on Thursday 7 September 2017.  Secretary, Ministry of Development Strategies and International Trade Chandani Wijewardana; Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Sri Lanka Chnag Won-sam; Additional Secretary, Ministry of   Ministry of Industry and Commerce Sheitha Senarathna; Chairperson and Chief Executive, SLEDB Indira Malwatte; Director General, Board of Investment of Sri Lanka Duminda Ariyasinghe; President, Sri Lanka-Korea Economic Co-operation Committee Mahen Kariyawasan and representatives of the Sri Lankan Government and the business community were associated with the visit.  The visit was facilitated by the Embassy of Sri Lanka in the Republic of Korea.
