Sri Lanka’s tourism attractions and Ceylon tea showcased at the Seoul Friendship Festival
The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Seoul showcased Ceylon tea, Ceylon spices, handicrafts and Sri Lanka’s tourist attractions at the Seoul Friendship Festival (SFF) held from 9th -10th May 2026 at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul.
Sri Lanka booth at the Embassy Zone of the event, promoted pure Ceylon tea with tropical flavors and pure Ceylon cinnamon, which were in great demand from visitors at the festival. Visitors were also provided an introduction of various types of Ceylon Tea and its health benefits.
The Sri Lankan booth also served to promote Sri Lanka’s handicrafts, traditional musical instruments such as the “thammatama’ and “davula” drums and tourism attractions. Visitors especially children enjoyed playing the drums and traditional games and learning about the various traditional musical instruments and traditional games in Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka was also amongst the countries, which screened tourism and promotional videos featuring the Sri Lanka’s tourism potential for visitors.
This year, the SFF celebrated its 30th anniversary, bringing together embassies from 74 countries under the slogan “30 Years with the World, Bridging Cultures Together”. The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Seoul have been participating in this event annually to promote Ceylon tea, spices, culture and tourism.
